Pittsburgh & Penn State Rekindle Rivalry in This Week's Most Expensive CFB Game

September 6, 2016

Rivalries rule during Week 2 of the 2016 College Football season. With Pittsburgh and Penn State set to battle for the first time in 16 years, the intrastate matchup at Heinz Field is posting massive ticket demand on the secondary market. Iowa and Iowa State also battle in what will be the second most expensive game this week, with the Hawkeyes possessing the Cy-Hawk Trophy after last season's 31-17 win.

Take a look at this week's most expensive college football tickets below, according to data provided by TicketIQ:

9/10/16 Penn State @ Pittsburgh (Heinz Field) | Average Price: $369 | Get-in Price: $168

Riding high off of Week 1 wins, Penn State and Pitt will play each other for the first time since the 2000 season. Such a dormant rivalry has sparked ticket prices on the secondary market, and Pitt tickets against Penn State at Heinz Field are currently averaging $369 on the secondary market. The cheapest available ticket is listed from $168.
