While UFC 205 is posting record price points just two weeks out, there is nearly equal ticket demand for UFC 207 at T-Mobile Arena on December 30. Featuring the return of Ronda Rousey, UFC 207 is one of the most anticipated UFC events in the league history, and ticket prices are showing just that the two months prior. As it stands now the UFC 207 tickets are averaging $2,127, making it the second highest-priced UFC bill of the last seven years. Following Friday's Onsale, UFC 205 Pacing to Be Most Expensive UFC Event Ever

(UPDATE 9/30/16) Thinking of attending UFC 205? If so, expect to dish out some serious cash to be on hand.

UFC 205 tickets to the league's first-ever event in New York City officially went on sale to the general public on Friday morning, selling out in a matter of minutes on the primary market. That hype has led to a strong resale demand in the hours following the onsale, so much so that UFC 205 tickets are the most expensive TicketIQ has tracked for a UFC event since 2010, when the company began tracking secondary market data.

As it stands now, the average resale price for UFC 205 tickets is $2,035.16 - nearly double that of the record-setting UFC 137, when tickets averaged $1,148.03. If looking just to get past the gates at Madison Square Garden, the cheapest ticket is currently listed from $1,002 in Section 210, Row 19.

Of course, prices will likely begin to drop as more inventory becomes available, but preliminary pricing makes it appear that UFC 205 will continue as the top-priced UFC event of the last seven years and, perhaps, ever.

It's unsurprising that hype is through the roof for the November 12 event. Arguably the sport's most notable fighter, Conor McGregor steps into the octagon for the first time since his UFC 202 win over Nate Diaz. And with two other title bouts on the main card, the inaugural NYC event has every intention of living up to the excitement it's projecting.

Conor McGregor vs. Eddie Alvarez Headlines UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden; Tickets On Sale Friday

(ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED 9/27/16) The Ultimate Fighting Championship's maiden voyage to New York City will pack quite the punch this November.

Following April's landmark bill to legalize professional mixed martial arts in New York City, the UFC was quick to schedule an upcoming event at Madison Square Garden on November 12. That event will be UFC 205, and it was announced Monday night that Conor McGregor (20-3-0) and Eddie Alvarez (28-4-0) will headline the jam-packed card in just over seven weeks.

With UFC 205 tickets going on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. EST via Ticketmaster, the first-ever New York-based card is will be one of the most anticipated UFC events in the league's 23-year history. And with McGregor bidding to become the first fighter in UFC history to own two titles in two separate weight classed at once, it may very well be the most expensive UFC event ever held, too.

The fun won't end with just McGregor and Alvarez. After Monday night's reveal UFC president Dana White made quick work of breaking even more fight card news the following morning. New York native Chris Weidman (13-1-0) will also face Yoel Romero (11-1-0) in an exciting middleweight bout. In addition to Alvarez-McGregor, two other title fights will also be on the card: a welterweight battle between current champion Tyron Woodley (16-3-1) and Stephen Thompson (13-1-0) and a Women's Strawweight Championship bout between Joanna Jędrzejczyk (12-0-0) and Karolina Kowalkiewicz (10-0-0).

McGregor has fought in two of the top-priced UFC events on the secondary market over the last seven years. His participation in both UFC 194 and UFC 202 generated massive ticket demand, with both averaging nearly a $1,000 ticket at MGM Grand and T-Mobile Arena, respectively. Take a look at the most expensive UFC events on TicketIQ since 2010 below:

Will tickets to UFC 205 reach even greater heights on the secondary market? Primary ticket pricing info for the general onsale has not yet been released, but UFC VIP Experience packages are available for purchase. Expect to pay up for those perks, however. Tickets start from a whopping $1,799 per person for the cheapest UFC 205 VIP package. If those prices are any indication as to how the secondary market will respond following Friday's onsale, the inaugural Midtown Manhattan event could very well set new record highs.
