Kid Rock Promises Best Night Ever On New Summer Tour
April 22, 2013
After only just completing his series of Rebel Soul winter dates, the bad boy of Southern rock will head straight back out onto the road again next month following the release of Kid Rock tickets for a value-for-money Best Night Ever summer tour.
Named after a song he wrote following a performance with Bob Seger at their Detroit hometown last month, the spectacle kicks off at Bristow’s Jiffy Lube Live on June 28th with a get-in price of $49 and an average price of $174 currently available, and will then take in the likes of Camden’s Susquehanna Bank Center on July 9th ($74/$314) and Englewood’s Fiddlers Green Amphitheatre on August 3rd ($49/$110) before concluding at Tampa’s Live Nation Amphitheatre on September 15th.
The 42-year-old has assembled an impressive array of support acts to join him and his regular touring partners, backing band Twisted Brown Trucker and long-time protégé and former DJ Uncle Kracker. First, legendary disco outfit Kool & The Gang will open the show for every date up to and including the July 26th gig at Irvine’s Verizon Wireless Amphitheater ($45/$131), before hirsute rock trio ZZ Top take their place for the second half of the tour including four gigs at Clarkston’s DTE Energy Music Theatre.
Availability is limited for the concerts at Holmdel’s PNC Bank Arts Center on June 29th ($88/$485), Hartford’s Comcast Theatre on July 12th ($110/$110) and Cincinnati’s Riverbend Music Center on August 28th ($127/$127). But there are hundreds of Kid Rock tickets still available for most other shows with a tour average price of $298, while the August 24th date at Maryland Heights’ Verizon Wireless Amphitheater currently features both the lowest get-in and average price at $43/$79.
Kid Rock tickets are also on sale for his performance at Tiger Woods’ 15th annual fundraiser, Tiger Jam, at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center on May 18th ($126/$316) and for the final date of country veteran George Jones’ farewell tour at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 22nd ($102/$419) where Rock will appear alongside the likes of Garth Brooks, Shelby Lynne and Kenny Rogers.
As for what to expect on the Best Night Ever, then Rock’s recent dates have seen him perform several tracks from his ninth studio album, Rebel Soul (“Chickens In The Pen,” “Redneck Paradise”), his US Hot 100 hits “Cowboy,” “Only God Knows Why” and “All Summer Long” and a solo version of Sheryl Crow duet “Picture” alongside cover versions of Bob Seger’s “Rock N Roll Never Forgets,” John Denver’s “Thank God I’m A Country Boy” and John Eddie’s “Happy New Year.”
But doing his bit in the tough economic climate, fans can also make the most of cheaper parking, special $4 draught beers, value food packages, free samples of Jimmy John’s sandwiches, free coffee at the end of the show and a whole range of $20 merchandise.
