Currently coming towards the end of the second North American leg of their mammoth The 2nd Law World tour, Britain’s biggest prog-rock outfit will once again return to the States later this year with the release of Muse tickets for eight further shows this September.
Matt Bellamy and co. still have five dates to perform on this side of the Atlantic before they travel to Europe and Asia including New York’s Madison Square Garden on April 16th with a get-in price of $46 and an average price of $137, East Rutherford’s Izod Center on April 19th ($8/$122) and Montreal’s Centre Bell on April 23th ($55/$129).
But due to increased demand, the theatrical trio will head back to US soil on September 3rd when they play Charlotte’s Time Warner Cable Arena (a tour get-in low of $61, average $198). After taking in Duluth’s The Arena at Gwinnett Center the following night ($88/$258), Muse will then perform at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on September 6th ($75/$230), Pittsburgh’s Consol Energy Center on September 8th ($73/$190), Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center on September 9th ($70/a tour low average of $92) and Washington’s Verizon Center on September 11th ($92/$198).
Following a brief stopover at Brazil’s Rock In Rio Festival, the band will then conclude their 101-date year-long tour with performances at Denver’s Pepsi Center on September 17th ($100/$169) and Salt Lake City’s EnergySolutions Arena on September 19th. There are hundreds of Muse tickets still available for most shows with an overall average tour price of $122.
Alongside support from another British three-piece, Biffy Clyro, on the remaining April shows and Kentucky garage rockers Cage The Elephant for the Autumn leg, fans with Muse tickets will get to experience an array of spectacular visuals, with the pyramid of LED screens that gradually consume the band providing the biggest wow factor this time around.
Recent set-lists have inevitably included the majority of their sixth studio album, The 2nd Law, which topped the chart in their homeland and peaked at No.2 in the US on its release last year. But with covers of Prince’s “Sign ‘O’ The Times” and Nina Simone’s Feeling Good, renditions of their biggest hits, “Supermassive Black Hole,” “Uprising” and “Time Is Running Out” and early career favourites “New Born,” “Plug In Baby” and “Sunburn,” also regularly featuring, expect just as much a feast for the ears as the eyes.
