Like the AP, ours will be updated weekly, so be sure to check back regularly. Over the first two years of our rankings, the Nebraska Cornhuskers have opened both seasons at the top of our list. But their reign as preseason number #1 has come to an end. This year's it's the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame that top our preseason rankings.
