Top 5 College Basketball Games Of The Week (2/10)
February 10, 2014
Hitting the middle of February means college basketball teams are getting ready for the start of March. With most teams having just under 10 games left in the regular season, we’re going to start seeing some big conference matchups with conference rankings on the line.
1) 2/15/14 - Maryland Terrapins at Duke Blue Devils | Avg. Price: $683 | Get-in Price: $550
Duke basketball tickets have blown every other team out of the water in terms of ticket price for the 2013-14 season at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Even against an unranked team like Maryland, the get-in price is higher than the highest average price of any other college basketball game this week.
2) 2/15/14 - Florida Gators at Kentucky Wildcats | Avg. Price: $463 | Get-in Price: $19
The No. 3 and No. 18 teams in the nation will be squaring off at Rupp Arena pitting the top two teams in the SEC against each other. Kentucky basketball tickets have shot of 32% over the past week for this matchup. Even with the high get-in price, lucky fans can still grab a ticket for below $20.
3) 2/15/14 - TCU Horned Frogs at Kansas Jayhawks | Avg. Price: $251 | Get-in Price: $112
Allen Fieldhouse will be packed when TCU comes to visit on Saturday. Prices for Kansas basketball tickets have dropped 26% over the past week, but it still remains one of the top games of the week. The eighth ranked Jayhawks will be looking for a conference win to hopefully make a final push to move up in the standings.
4) 2/12/14 - Duke Blue Devils at North Carolina Tar Heels | Avg. Price: $163 | Get-in Price: $93
It’s the best rivalry in college basketball, but North Carolina’s 16-7 record has caused North Carolina basketball tickets to drop 43% for the matchup against Duke at the Dean Smith Center. The Tar Heels haven’t been ranked since the last week of 2013, bringing the excitement in Chapel Hill to the lowest its been for a Duke-North Carolina game it has been in a long time.
5) 2/15/14 - Oklahoma Sooners at Oklahoma State Cowboys | Avg. Price: $154 | Get-in Price: $72
Another in-state rivalry will happen this weekend, but this time both of the teams will be ranked in the Top 25. Oklahoma enters the game ranked No. 21 and the host Oklahoma State will enter ranked No. 19. Oklahoma State basketball tickets will be in high demand for the latest installment of the Bedlam Series at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The excitement around college basketball will pick up in a month with the conference tournaments kicking off, but the quality of games for the last few weeks of the regular season is always stellar as well. Some of the biggest rivalries will be taking place in time frame as well, making college basketball tickets the most demanded in sports right now.
