The Mayhem Festival presented by Rockstar is starting its 8th year this summer. The annual metal music festival has garnered tons of head banging fans from all across the U.S. and Canada in its eight year tenure. This year the festival is headlined by legendary metal and hard rock acts Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Asking Alexandria, and Trivium. Supporting bands include Suicide Silence, Cannibal Corpse, Emmure, Mushroomhead, and Body Count. The 2014 Mayhem Fest kicks off on July 5th in San Bernadino, California at the San Manuel Amphitheatre. the festival stays in California when it hits Mountain View on July 6th at the Shoreline Amphitheatre.
The first two weeks of July Mayhem Fest stays out west with dates in Phoenix on the 11th and Albuquerque on the 12th. On July 16th Mayhem hits the midwest with a stop in Maryland Heights, Missouri at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. This stop on the tour as the cheapest average ticket price at only $65.21, far below the tour average of Mayhem Festival tickets ($159.92). On July 18th Mayhem Fest stops on Milwaukee at the Eagle’s Ballroom however without Avenged Sevenfold and Korn. This is dubbed the “Taste of Mayhem” Festival. Metalheads in Canada will have one chance to see the Mayhem Festival in Canada and that is on July 25th when they play the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto. Fans in the New York City area can go to Wantagh, New York at the Nikon Theatre at Jones Beach. That show however just features Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Asking Alexandria, and Trivium. The final stop for the Mayhem Festival is at The Woodlands, Texas at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. This show has the most expensive average ticket price with an average of $231.70.
Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, and Asking Alexandria each toured North America separately in 2013. During that time, Korn tickets we’re the cheapest option of the 3 at an average price of $99. Avenged Sevenfold notably announced a 2014 tour set to begin in mid-April. If they are the only band you’re interested in from this year’s lineup, Avenged Sevenfold tickets for their solo tour average 16% less than the Mayhem Festival.
