Tim & Eric Take Pusswhip Banggang on Tour
April 17, 2014
Surrealistic comedy duo Tim & Eric are to revive their tongue-in-cheek Southern rock outfit this summer after announcing the release of Tim & Eric Pusswhip Banggang tickets for three shows in the Deep South.
The Adult Swim regulars, who debuted their self-described ‘swamp rock band’ on their cult hit, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, back in 2006, last toured their homeland in 2010. But coinciding with the release of their first official single, their 70s-inspired parody will now return to the live stage to play a whole host of ‘Naw-Luns’ classics.
Eric Wareheim, who can currently be seen in Aziz Ansari’s wacky culinary web series, Food Club, and Tim Heidecker, who will appear alongside Robin Williams and Joel McHale in the forthcoming festive comedy, A Friggin’ Christmas Miracle, will kick off their mini-tour at Atlanta’s The Earl on June 20.
The pair, who are also reported to be working on the follow-up to 2012’s big-screen adventure Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie, will then move onto Birmingham’s Bottletree on Jun 21 before wrapping up at New Orleans’ Howlin’ Wolf on Jun 22, just two days before their limited edition picture disc of “Jambalaya” hits the shelves.
Alongside the aforementioned, fans with Tim & Eric tickets should also expect to hear extended versions of the songs which appeared in their faux Greatest Hits commercial (“Don’t Call Me Uncle,” “Fudge Man,” “Kiss Me Once, Shame On You, Kiss Me Twice (Let’s Party)”) and possibly several new spoof tracks.
Pusswhip Banggang tickets are currently unavailable on TicketIQ for these three shows. But be sure to keep checking back for updates on what is likely to be one of 2014’s most absurdist tours.
