Over the holiday weekend the Road to Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas (EDC) officially began as EDC New York took place at MetLife Stadium to great success as an estimated 100,000 festivalgoers bought Electric Daisy Carnival tickets for the event. EDC New York was a truly amazing event with each set better than the last, which is exactly what we have come to expect from Insomniac and its founder Pasquale Rotella.
However, despite how fantastic EDC New York was, and it was, it all pales in comparison to EDC Las Vegas which is easily the crown jewel of Insomniac as it features twice as many acts and three times the people. Taking place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway from June 20th through the 22nd, EDC Las Vegas will feature its usually carnival rides and performers roaming the ground but for the first time will have free WiFi for its attendees sponsored by the app SnapChat.
Yesterday came the announcement that everyone has been anticipating, the EDC Las Vegas lineup release. Suffice to say Insomniac hit it out of the park, as the starstudded lineup features every act a person could want to see - from trance to dubstep to hardstyle EDC Vegas has it all.

Reflecting the scene’s huge rise in popularity, the 17th annual celebration of dance music will also take in London for the first time ever alongside stops at New York, Chicago, Puerto Rico and Orlando. But it’s the Nevada leg which remains the biggest, with hundreds of DJs, producers and vocalists confirmed to perform across the seven stages.
