(UPDATE) Several new acts were added to the Riot Fest Chicago lineup. Those include Primus, The Hold Steady, Tokyo Police Club, Say Anything, Pity Sex, Frank Iero, Only Crime, Lemuria, From Indian Lakes, Lucki Eck$, Tiny Moving Parts, Survay Says!, and The Picturebooks.
There will also be ten special veteran acts performing classic albums taking place in Chicago and those are below:

- The Offspring – Smash
- Weezer – The Blue Album
- Slayer - Reign in Blood
- Samhain – Initium
- NOFX – Punk In Drublic
- Descendents – Milo Goes To College
- Naked Raygun – Throb Throb
- The Get Up Kids – Something To Write Home About
The Cure, The National and Wu-Tang Clan will all head for Chicago and Denver this fall following the official line-up announcement and release of Riot Festival tickets for the alt-rock event’s 10th birthday celebrations.
Joining the goth-rock pioneers, indie-folk outfit and reformed hip-hop legends at both the flagship Chicago festival at Humboldt Park on September 12-14 and the Denver edition at Byer’s May Farm on Sept 19-21 are Weezer, Slayer, Dropkick Murphys, The Flaming Lips, Rise Against, Buzzcocks, Taking Back Sunday, NOFX, The Orwells and Die Antwoord.
The Chicago leg can also boast one of GWAR’s first performances since the death of frontman David Brockie, a special interactive panel discussion featuring Pussy Riot members Nadya Tolokonnikova and Masha Alekhina and sets from The Offspring, Patti Smith, Paul Weller, Dashboard Confessional, Thurston Moore and The Dandy Warhols.
While Denver will welcome the likes of Primus, Sublime With Rome, TV On The Radio, Violent Femmes, A Day To Remember and Manchester Orchestra, with both sites also staging an array of carnival attractions.
The news comes just a week after organisers released Riot Fest tickets for the Toronto version at Downsview Park on Sept 6-7, which will see Death From Above 1979 and Death Cab For Cutie join The National, The Cure and The Flaming Lips near the top of the bill.
Festivalgoers can get their hands on Riot Fest tickets for the Chicago leg on TicketIQ with three-day passes available at a get-in price of $142 and an average price of $325 and single-day passes up for grabs at $125/$317 for Sept 12, $193/$193 for Sept 13 and $189/$189 for Sept 14.
