NY Giants Tickets For Home Opener Are Least Expensive Of Season

September 11, 2014

After missing the playoffs in each of the last two seasons the New York Giants and their fans were hopeful that things would turn around this season. However, after an embarrassing opening week blowout loss to the Lions on Monday Night Football any optimism a Giants fan had has quickly been erased. Prices for New York Giants tickets for their home opener on Sunday have also suffered since the loss. Since Sunday, prices have dropped 16% and tickets for the game against the Arizona Cardinals are now the least expensive of the season at MetLife Stadium. Here's more on the game from an article we posted on CBS New York:

According to TicketIQ, the average price of the game is currently $246.21. That price is 24% below the season average at home this season and is one of three games with an average price below $300. The get-in price of $57 is the cheapest low price of the season by $20. However, even the cheapest game on the Giants schedule is more expensive than last week’s home opener for the New York Jets. Jets vs Oakland Raiders tickets for Week 1 had an average price of $207.96, which currently stands as the fourth most expensive average price for the Jets at MetLife Stadium this season. The season average for Jets tickets is currently $197.31, which is 20% below the least expensive Giants game. The most expensive Jets game of the season against the Denver Broncos is only 1% above the average price of the Giants’ least expensive game.
