Tears For Fears Announce First US Dates In 3 Years
September 2, 2014
One of the 80's most influential and long-standing acts, Tears for Fears will release a new album for the first time in 10 years, and embark on a US tour for the first time in 3 years.
The mini tour preceds a headlining slot at the inaugural Project Pabst festival in Portland alongside the Violent Femmes, Rocket From The Crypt, Modest Mouse, and more.
Of the four announced dates thus far, Tears For Fears tickets on the secondary market feature an average asking price of $134.70. The mini tour opener on September 17th at Austin's Austin Music Hall is the cheapest of the set, with an average resale cost of $89.14 and get-in of $71.
Next cheapest is September 20th at the Winstar Casino in Oklahoma. This performance has an average secondary market ticket cost of $127.19 and the lowest get-in of the 4 shows at $61.
A Tuesday/Wednesday combo in California are the most expensive dates, with the 23rd at The Wiltern in Los Angeles demanding an average ticket price of $143.93. Despite the higher average price, the parity on seating is in favor of the buyer. Seats in the front Loge Section near the stage start at just 30% more than General Admission tickets.
New Wave and Alternative fans are certainly going to feel “Head Over Heels” when they get the first chance in 3 years to “Shout” the lyrics group's endless barrage of hits, including “Everybody Wants To Rule The World”, “Mad World”, and “Sowing The Seeds Of Love”.
