Napalm Death & Voivod Join Forces For 2015 Tour

In what's unquestionably one of the most top-to-bottom stacked bills in metal this year, Napalm Death, Voivod, and Exhumed will join forces for a one month/two days off tour entitled the “Through Space and Grind” tour hitting nearly every major North American market this winter.

The tour starts in Miami and blisters throughout Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina before coming north for a plethora of Canadian and Northeast US dates. Voivod's hometown show comes February 6th at Montreal's Club Soda. A mid-west swing follows before a handful more Canadian dates.

The tour then makes it's way through the West Coast through Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, and 3 Californian dates (including a quasi-hometown show for Exhumed on February 21st in Fresno). A southwest set (as well as a one off in Colorado) concludes the tour on February 28th in Houston.

Black Crown Initiate and metal supergroup Iron Reagan will open on all dates. While Ringworm, Dayglo Abortions, Theories, and Phobia will join the party on select dates. Though this minimum 5 band bill may give off a festival vibe, it's important to remember that grindcore innovators Napalm Death have been known to cut through 30 tracks in a 45 minute headlining set. Even the tour schedule reflects the extreme nature of the bands, including 9 hour drives overnight – Poughkeepsie's Chance Theater on February 8th to Ringwood's home town of Cleveland and the Agora Ballroom on February 9th as an example.

Despite both Napalm Death and Voivod being active since the early 1980's, the tour announcement comes on the heels of a packed 2014 for the veterans. Napalm Death have been performing both internationally and stateside on the festival circuit while Voivod have seen scattered shows in support of their 2013 effort “Target Earth”. Iron Reagan and Exhumed released a split EP earlier this year.
