The Philadelphia Flyers have started the season by going 8-9-3, sinking themselves into sixth place in the Metropolitan Division. They have the league’s worst penalty kill. Vinny Lecavalier has just two goals in 13 games. Despite these woes, there are a number of bright signs for the Flyers early on. Jakub Voracek, fresh off a 62-point campaign last season, is off to a torrid start, collecting 29 points on 20 games. He and Claude Giroux are becoming one of the league’s most dynamic duos. If the Flyers can couple the play of Giroux and Voracek with better goaltending from Steve Mason and more production from the likes of Lecavalier, Matt Read and Sean Couturier, the team might have a recipe for the playoffs. Tickets for each of the following games can be purchased at the bottom of this post.
