With the creation of the College Football Playoff system this year, a group of bowls were selected to serve as semifinal games and are now called the “New Year’s Six.” The six bowls will rotate as semifinal hosts every three years and will have a premium matchup in the other two seasons. The group consists of the Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Orange Bowl and Peach Bowl. The Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl will be the semifinal games this season, with the Cotton Bowl and Orange Bowl hosting next year and the Fiesta and Peach Bowl hosting in the third season. Below is a breakdown of this year’s matchups for these bowls, along with ticket prices on the secondary market.
