Irish singing group Celtic Thunder is back on the road for a North American spring tour and in celebratory spirits as they promote their upcoming release “The Very Best of Celtic Thunder”, which hits stores on March 10. The band has 32 more dates remaining in North America through April 12, when it wraps at Paramount Theater in Rutland, Vermont.
The tour began last Thursday at Fox Theatre in St. Louis and has played five dates since. Its next stop will be at San Diego’s Balboa Theatre on Thursday. Three more shows remain in February, with 21 dates scheduled in March and eight in April.
Celtic Thunder will play the majority of their dates in theaters and auditoriums across the U.S. and Canada. Nine Canadian dates are scheduled in March, with the group playing the cities of Abbotsford, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg and Thunder Bay.
“The Very Best of Celtic Thunder” is a 20-song album that features seven Celtic classics that have been updated and re-recorded by the current edition of Celtic Thunder. It will be the group’s 12th official studio album, with “Celtic Thunder: Christmas Voices” being their last effort in 2013.
