Drake Most Expensive, Bradley Least Expensive Remaining Games on Northern Iowa Schedule
February 4, 2015
Perhaps the biggest underdog story in Division I basketball this season has been the Northern Iowa Panthers, who sit at 20-2 on the season and have gained more notoriety with each unlikely win. The team is set to take on Drake and Bradley in their final two home meetings at the McLeod Center, and both games will see high ticket prices on the secondary market.
Over the team’s final two games, the average price for Northern Iowa tickets on TicketIQ is $101.38. Drake will serve as Northern Iowa’s most expensive opponent on February 7, when the Northern Iowa vs Drake tickets average at $117.44. The cheapest seat to Saturday’s game is $45. The Bulldogs have gone an abysmal 6-16, but the national attention the Panthers are receiving has generated a newfound interest in attending the team’s final home games this year.
Bradley will be the team’s cheaper opponent when the Braves head to Cedar Falls on February 21. The average secondary price for Northern Iowa vs Bradley tickets is $60.77 and get-in price starts at $36. Much like Drake, Bradley has played poorly this season and owns a 7-16 record. As the final home game of the season, however, ticket price remains high for the late-February matchup.

Now is the time for the nation to starting turning heads to the Panthers’ improbable run. With just one game remaining against a ranked team in Wichita State on February 28, it’s possible that UNI will be this year’s Cinderella story in the NCAA. The team last made the NCAA Tournament in 2010, where it knocked out No. 1 seeded Kansas and made it to the Sweet Sixteen before falling to Michigan State.
