Lorde To Begin Recording Second Album This March, Lollapalooza Performance Rumored
February 24, 2015
Grammy award winning Lorde has once again started to do early work with producer Joel Little in creating the songstress' second album.
The teen singer says many lyrics for the as of yet untitled second studio album are complete, and she plans to begin the recording process in March. Lorde last released “Pure Heroine” in 2013, which spawned 5 charting singles, including “Royals” which spent nine weeks at number 1.
At the moment, there are no North American tour dates planned, but there is a heavy rumor she will be a featured artist at the 2015 Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.

Lorde and Little admittingly have yet to decide on a direction for the album, the first of which employed hiphop style beats with full synth bass and layered vocals. Both Lorde's vocals and Little's production received high praise for crossing many genres and appealing to an incredibly large demographic. In a rarity, Lorde's “Pure Heroine” topped the US Rock charts despite having little to electric guitar, a rock staple, on the album.
