Motley Crue Add New Zealand and Australian Dates to The Final Tour
February 19, 2015
Motley Crue may be calling it quits on the road later this year, but the band is still adding dates to The Final Tour. An Australian and New Zealand leg is the tour’s latest addition, which will make six stops in as many cities in May. Alice Cooper will support on all six dates.
The Land Down Under trip will commence at Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand on May 9. It then travels to Melbourne on May 12 for a show at Rod Laver Arena before hitting Allphones Arena in Sydney May 16. Both Brisbane and Adelaide’s Entertainment Centre will host shows on May 19 and 21, respectively. The iconic group’s final show in Australia will be at the Perth Arena on May 23.
The sole New Zealand date will see tickets go on sale on March 2 at 10 am NZDT. Tickets to the five final shows in Australia will be made available to the general public on March 4 at 11 am AEDT.
The six shows in New Zealand and Australia will serve as the band’s initial dates on The Final Tour. The quartet then travels to Europe and the U.K. for three separate festivals in June, playing the Sweden Rock Festival on June 5, Nova Rock in Austria on June 12 and Download Festival in the U.K. on June 14.
Motley Crue’s North American leg begins on July 22 at the Matthew Knight Arena in Oregon. It will make 34 stops across the U.S. and Canada before playing a final show at the Staples Center in the band’s native Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve.
