Top Indie and Alternative Concert Tickets of the Week (2/9)

This week in indie and alternative concerts feature some fan favorites and veteran bands who’ve been cutting their teeth tour for decades. On the 9th The Tragically Hip will be in their native Canada with a show at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta. On February 12th The B-52’s are playing the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, Illinois and the ska tour with Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake stops at Boulder Theatre in Boulder, Colorado. Finally The Hold Steady will be at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on the 13th.

2/13 The Hold Steady at Bowery Ballroom - Get-in Price $48

Brooklyn natives The Hold Steady will play the Bowery Ballroom this week on the 13th in New York City. Fans will be able to get into this hometown show for the band for only $48. Ticket prices for the show are up 2% from last week. This show on the 13th is a benefit show for the Rock-On Foundation. The Hold Steady will return to NYC on the 21st for a show at The Concert Hall with Rick Springfield.

 

2/12 The B-52’s at the Arcada Theatre - Limited Tickets Available

New wave band The B-52’s will be at the Arcada Theatre this week on the 12th in St. Charles, Illinois. The band last released Funplex in 2008 but fans can still expect to hear hits off the classics from their self titled album from 1979 and Wild Planet from 1980. If fans in the midwest region can’t make it to the show on the 12th the B-52’s in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the 13th at the Potawatomi Casino Northern Lights Theater and on Valentines day will be at the Riverside Casino in Riverside, Iowa.

 

2/9 The Tragically Hip at the Scotiabank Saddledome - Avg. Price $255.13 | Get-in: $63

Canadian indie band The Tragically Hip will be at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Canada this week on the 9th. The average ticket price for the show it set at $255.13 and fans will be able to get in for as low as $63. Ticket prices are up 11 percent from last week. The band are working on a follow up to 2012’s Now For Plan A due out this year. The tour will continue in Canada with a show on the 12th at Rexall Place in Edmonton and on the 14th at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg.

 

2/12 Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, & Authority Zero at the Boulder Theater - Limited Tickets Available

Ska punk bands Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake will be at the Boulder Theater in Boulder, Colorado. The tour which features Authority Zero will also stop at the Murray Theatre in Murray, Utah on the 13th before heading to Las Vegas on Valentines Day for a show at Hard Rock Live. Fans will be able to hear a bunch of hits ranging from “She’s Gonna Break Soon” from Less Than Jake or “Sell Out” from Reel Big Fish.
