Cabaret to Embark on 2016 National Tour
March 10, 2015
Broadway’s musical revival of Cabaret is hitting the road in 2016. Beginning next February, the beloved show has already announced short residencies in four cities and will add more throughout the year.
The tour is slated to start at the Benedum Center in Pittsburgh on February 2, 2016 and will remain there through February 7. It then travels to the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts in Milwaukee for six nights at the end of the month. Austin’s Bass Concert Hall will welcome the show from March 29 to April 3. The final city in the initial batch of dates is Las Vegas, whose Smith Center will play host from June 14 to 19.
Cabaret’s 2014 revival on Broadway was a massive success and the musical continues to play at the illustrious Studio 54. Academy Award-winning actress Michelle Williams initially played the part of Sally Bowles before handing the reins over to Emma Stone earlier this year. Stone completed her run on Broadway last month.
