Canadiens Ticket Prices Well Below Home Average On Current Road Trip

At the top the the NHL’s Eastern Conference currently sits the Montreal Canadiens. Heading into Tuesday night, the Canadiens sit two points behind the Nashville Predators for the highest total in the league. Montreal is three points ahead of the New York Rangers and New York Islanders in the East, but both of those teams play in the Metropolitan division. Montreal is five points ahead of the second place Tampa Bay Lightning in the Atlantic.

Montreal is in the midst of a four game road trip out West. The Canadiens dropped the first game of the trip to the San Jose Sharks in 1 4-0 shutout after having won their previous four games. Montreal won’t be home again until the 10th, but they’ll have three big games before returning to Centre Bell. However, prices on the secondary market will be at a deep discount on the road compared to ones seen at home.

On Wednesday night, Montreal will head to the Honda Center to play the Anaheim Ducks. Anaheim is tied with Montreal with 87 points. Tickets will be fairly inexpensive with an average price of $85.53 and a get-in price of $9.

The following night, the Canadiens will travel to Staples Center for a matchup with the Los Angeles Kings. This will be the only game of the three with an average secondary market price above $100. The current average price for the game is $105.63 with a get-in price of $31. Los Angeles is currently tied with Calgary and San Jose with 70 points at the bottom of the playoff race in the Western Conference.

On Saturday, Montreal will finish the road trip against the Arizona Coyotes.  Arizona sits in the bottom of the league in points, with only the Edmonton Oilers having less at this point in the season. The Coyotes also have lost nine games in a row heading into a Tuesday night game against the Ducks. The average price for Coyotes vs Canadiens tickets is $84.18 with a get-in price of $32.

Montreal will return home on the 10th and have nine games remaining at Centre Bell. Over those nine games, the secondary market average price is $230.13. The most expensive game will come on March 21 against the San Jose Sharks. The average price is currently $275.17 with a get-in price of $111.
