Music’s biggest stars are set to take the stage at this year’s Houston Rodeo, which kicked off yesterday at NRG Stadium. Eric Church headlined the opening day and both country and pop music will collide over the rodeo’s next three weeks.
Country star Luke Bryan will serve as the top-priced performer when he plays the rodeo’s final day on March 22. The average price for March 22 Houston Rodeo tickets on TicketIQ is currently $167.12 and get-in price starts at $43. Alan Jackson’s performance on March 7 will be the second most expensive show this year, with tickets averaging at $136.25. The cheapest seat to that select date is $39.
Breaking away from the country mold is Latin pop and hip-hop artist Pitbull, who is set to perform on March 13. Tickets to the March 13 Houston Rodeo currently average at $134.69 on the secondary market. The show’s cheapest seat is listed at $31.
Other big-name artists that are scheduled to perform include Ariana Grande, Fall Out Boy, Blake Shelton, The Band Perry, Zac Brown Band, Tim McGraw and several others. The rodeo has been a staple in Houston’s vibrant music scene and culture since its inception in 2003.
