Imagine Dragons, Weezer, Cold War Kids Added to March Madness Music Festival

(UPDATE 3/27) The March Madness Music Festival has revealed a trio of headliners set for Friday, April 3. Imagine Dragons, Weezer and Cold War Kids will now take the stage that day ahead of Rihanna and Zac Brown Band on Saturday and Sunday.
Held at White River State Park in Indianapolis, the festival is slated to take place between April 3 and April 5 in conjunction with the NCAA’s Final Four Men’s Basketball Tournament. Admission to each day of the concert series is free, with AT&T sponsoring the weekend affair. The newly announced trio’s Friday shows will be known as the AT&T Block Party.
Imagine Dragons will kick off its Smoke + Mirrors Tour later this year in promotion of its subsequently named album. Weezer is touring Everything Will Be Alright in the End, which was released last October. Cold War Kids also dropped their latest record,Hold My Own, that month.
Rihanna and Zac Brown Band appear in Indianapolis ahead of their forthcoming releases. Rihanna has yet to announce a title for her record while Zac Brown Band will release Jekyll + Hyde on April 28.

(3/19) The NCAA Championship Game will be highlighted by college basketball’s biggest and brightest stars this April, but its surrounding three-day music festival will also welcome an All-Star cast of talent. Set to take place between April 3 and 5, the March Madness Musical Festival will be headlined by Rihanna, Zac Brown Band, Lady Antebellum, Kacey Musgraves and Bleachers.
The festival will be held at White River State Park in Indianapolis prior to the April 6 showdown at Lucas Oil Stadium. Friday’s AT&T Block Party has yet to announce its headlining performer, but Rihanna will take the stage at the Coke Zero Countdown Concert with Bleachers on Saturday. Sunday’s Capital One JamFest will be highlighted by Zac Brown Band, Kacey Musgraves and Lady Antebellum.
Rihanna is set to perform at the festival following the release of her latest single “American Oxygen”, which will be featured on her upcoming album. No date has been set for the record’s release, but she is rumored to be announcing a joint tour with Kanye West later this year in support. “American Oxygen” will be the 2015 NCAA Tournament’s promotional song.
