Babymetal Announce String Of 2015 North American Tour Dates
(2/13/15) The popular Japanese trio Babymetal is going on a world tour this spring. The band led by the three teenage girl vocalists Su-metal, Yuimetal, and Moametal along with their backing band combine j-pop, idol pop, and death metal to create this hybrid sound. The trio tend to dress in matching gothic outfits and perform choreographed dance moves with each song. Babymetal in 2013 became the youngest band to ever perform the Loud Park Metal Festival in Japan where there shared the stage with metal bands Trivium and Behemoth. Babymetal most recently put out a live album Live at Budokan: Red Night last month. The world tour hits North America first and after playing a show in Mexico on May 9th will head to Canada with a show at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto on May 12th. Before the band heads to Europe they will make an appearance at the 2015 Rock on the Range Festival in Columbus, Ohio on May 16th.
