Packers Selling $4 Tickets For Brett Favre Retirement Ceremony Viewing Party
May 11, 2015
(UPDATE 5/11/2015) Green Bay is ready to welcome back Brett Favre. In what will already be one of the biggest games of the season — a Packers-Bears game on Thanksgiving night — Favre will have his No. 4 retired by the Packers at halftime. Demand has been so high for Packers fans to see the ceremony, the team has allowed for additional viewing inside Lambeau Field. Tickets will be sold to be able to enter the stadium and watch the ceremony on the video board during the game. Tickets will cost $4 and will go onsale to the general public on Tuesday morning.
Demand for the Week 12 game is easily the highest in Green Bay for the upcoming season. On the secondary market, Packers vs Bears tickets have an average price of $710.04. No other Packers tickets have an average above $500. The closest will be the home opener in Week 2 for a NFC Championship Game rematch against the Seattle Seahawks. The average price for that game is currently $496.55.

The get-in price for the game against Chicago is currently $406. That price is more expensive than the average of every other home Packers game this season except for Week 2. The get-in price for the Seahawks game is $286.

Brett Favre To Be Inducted Into Packers Hall of Fame in 2015
(2/9/15) It’s official – Brett Favre will officially return to Green Bay for his Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2015. The bitter taste Favre left Packers fans many moons ago in his departure for New York has since diminished, and the Lambeau faithful will cheer him on one last time when the organization retires his jersey among the likes of Bart Starr, Paul Hornung, Jerry Kramer and Don Huston.
An official date for Favre’s Hall of Fame ceremony has yet to announced, but Lambeau Field will undoubtedly be packed to the brim regardless of who the Packers are hosting. Favre played 16 seasons for the Packers and brought the franchise one Super Bowl victory in 1997. From 1992 to 2007, he was nominated for the Pro Bowl nine times.
Favre made the announcement of his Hall of Fame ceremony and jersey retirement through his official website on Monday. Though months away, the ceremony will likely be the most-watched Hall of Fame inductions in modern football. Current Packers superstar Aaron Rodgers, who took over under center when Favre joined the Jets in 2009, is slated to join the iconic quarterback at Lambeau next season.
Green Bay’s home opponents for the 2015 are the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, St. Louis Rams, San Diego Chargers and Seattle Seahawks. It’s possible, since Favre finished his career with the Vikings, the day Minnesota comes to Lambeau could be when the ceremony is held. Whenever the game is, look for prices on the secondary market to be among the most expensive we’ve seen for a game in Green Bay.
