Noah Syndergaard’s Citi Field Debut Sunday Is Cheapest Game of Weekend Series With Brewers
May 15, 2015
Top pitching prospect Noah Syndergaard will make his Citi Field debut for the Mets this Sunday, and fans searching for tickets will find considerable deals on the secondary market. Nicknamed “Thor” for his towering stature and striking similarities to that of the Nordic superhero, Syndergaard is coming off a rocky outing against the Cubs Tuesday, where he allowed three runs en route to his first loss in the Majors. He’ll look to rebound in Queens this weekend, much to the delight of fans saving a few extra dollars on tickets in the process.
According to TicketIQ, the series average for Mets vs Brewers tickets over the three-game stint is $60.83. Both Friday and Saturday’s game own a median price above that, though Sunday Mets vs Brewers tickets are currently averaging at $54.75 – 10% below the series average. The cheapest available ticket for Sunday’s game is now $12.

The weekend series will be abundant with fan giveaways, including Free Shirt Friday, Fedora Hat Giveaway on Saturday and Zack Wheeler Magnet Card Sunday. Wheeler’s magnetic souvenir has done little to boost prices for the potential rubber match, however, and Syndergaard’s home debut will be the second cheapest remaining game at Citi Field this season. Only a May 19 contest with the Cardinals will be cheaper, with tickets for that game averaging at $54.88 on the resale market. Get-in price for next Tuesday’s game also starts at $12.
