Top Indie and Alternative Concert Tickets of the Week (5/18)

This week’s top indie and alternative concerts starts off on the 18th with a show by Aussie rock band Tame Impala at the Royal Oak Music Theatre in Royal Oak, Michigan. That same day Lana Del Rey and Courtney Love will perform at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California. In nearby Hollywood alt-rock bands Paramore and Copeland will play a show at the Dolby Theatre on the 23rd. On the 19th indie-pop duo Matt & Kim will be at the House of Blues in Cleveland, Ohio. Finally on the 22nd Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will perform at The Joint in Las Vegas, Nevada.

5/18 Lana Del Rey & Courtney Love at the Hollywood Bowl - Avg. Ticket Price $188.93 | Get-in: $86

Songstresses Lana Del Rey and Courtney Love will be performing at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California this week on the 18th. The show has an average ticket price of $188.93 and a lowest get-in price of $86. Though in support of last album Ultraviolence, Lana Del Rey is already working on a new album entitled Honeymoon. Fans can catch Courtney Love on the tour as well on the 20th at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California and on the 22nd in Ridgefield, Washington at the Sleep Country Amphitheatre.

 

5/23 Paramore & Copeland at the Dolby Theatre - Avg. Ticket Price $178.82 | Get-in $66

Paramore and Copeland will be at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California this week on the 23rd. The show has an average ticket price of $178.82 and a lowest get-in price of $66. The “Write the Future” is in support of the deluxe edition of Paramore’s 2013 self-titled album which came out last fall. Copeland also released their first new album in 6 years with last years Ixora. The tour will also stop this week on the 22nd at the SDSU Open Air Theatre in San Diego, California.

 

5/19 Matt & Kim at the House of Blues Cleveland - Avg. Ticket Price $150.71 | Get-in: $49

Indie-pop duo Matt & Kim will be at the House of Blues in Cleveland, Ohio this week on the 19th. The show has an average ticket price of $150.71 but fans will be able to find tickets for as low as $49. The band released their fifth album New Glow last month reaching number 5 on the Billboard Rock Charts. The band will also stop in Chicago, Illinois on the 21 for a show at the Riviera Theatre and on the 22nd in Minneapolis, Minnesota at Mill City Nights.

Psychedelic rock band Tame Impala will play at the Royal Oak Music Theatre in Royal Oak, Michigan this week on the 18th. The show has an average ticket price of $123.07 but fans can find tickets for as low as only $48. The Australian band will release their third album Currents on July 17th, their follow-up to 2012’s popular Lonerism. After their show on the 18th the band will head to Canada with a show on the 19th at Massey Hall in Toronto and on the 20th at Metropolis in Montreal.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will be performing at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada this week on the 22nd. The show has an average ticket price of $110.31 and a lowest get-in price of $58. Most known for being the guitarist and songwriter behind the popular rock band Oasis, Gallagher and his new band released their second album Chasing Yesterday earlier this year. The tour will also stop in Los Angeles, California this week on the 20th with a show at the Orpheum Theatre.
