On the night before the annual CMA Fest kicks off in Nashville, the CMT Awards will be held in the same city. While the four-day festival will take place in and around LP Field, the CMT Awards will be held at Bridgestone Arena. Unlike the CMAs, which will take place at the same venue in November, the CMT Awards will be rewarding excellence in the year of country music videos. Awards for each category will be given both to the artist and the director of the video.
On the secondary market, CMT Awards tickets have an average price of $199.49 with a get-in price of $52. As is the case with many country music shows, a ticket will bring with it a wide array of performances throughout the night. Scheduled to perform are Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Jake Owen, Sam Hunt, Zac Brown Band, Reba, Darius Rucker, A Thousand Horses, Chris Janson, Frankie Ballard, Kelsea Ballerini, Maddie & Tae and RaeLynn are all scheduled to perform.
There are 12 nominees for the prestigious Video of the Year Award. The nominees include Carrie Underwood’s “Something in the Water,” Darius Rucker’s “Homegrown Honey,” Dierks Bentley’s “Drunk on a Plane,” Florida Georgia Line’s “Dirt.” Jason Aldean’s “Burnin’ It Down,” Kenny Chesney’s “American Kids,” Lady Antebellum’s “Bartender,” Lee Brice’s “I Don’t Dance,” Luke Bryan’s “Play It Again,” Maddie & Tae’s “Girl in a Country Song,” Miranda Lambert’s “Something Bad” with Carrie Underwood and Sam Hunt’s “Leave the Night On.”
Erin Andrews and Brittany Snow will host.
