Australian psychedelic rock band Tame Impala are bound for the Big Apple this October. Touring in support of its forthcoming studio release, Currents, the quintet has announced that it will play Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday, October 6. Currents is the band’s third studio release and latest since 2012’s Lonerism.
Though the concert is still more than three months away, no time will be wasted snagging up tickets for the Rockefeller Center gig. A special ticket presale began today, June 24 at 10am EDT for Chase and American Express preferred cardmembers and MSGE purchasers using the presale code “EVENTUALLY”. Tickets for all seating, which includes three mezzanine levels and two orchestral levels, are priced at $47.50 via ticketmaster ($61.50 with fees).
The general public will have access to tickets beginning this Friday, June 26 at 10am EDT. A six-ticket limit exists per customer at checkout.
Prior to its October show in Manhattan, Tame Impala will play this year’s Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago in August. The Perth natives will also headline both weekends of this year’s Austin City Limits Festival in Texas in between its stop in New York in early-October.
