Ticket Presale for Tame Impala’s October Radio City Music Hall Show Begins Today

Australian psychedelic rock band Tame Impala are bound for the Big Apple this October. Touring in support of its forthcoming studio release, Currents, the quintet has announced that it will play Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday, October 6. Currents is the band’s third studio release and latest since 2012’s Lonerism.
Though the concert is still more than three months away, no time will be wasted snagging up tickets for the Rockefeller Center gig. A special ticket presale began today, June 24 at 10am EDT for Chase and American Express preferred cardmembers and MSGE purchasers using the presale code “EVENTUALLY”. Tickets for all seating, which includes three mezzanine levels and two orchestral levels, are priced at $47.50 via ticketmaster ($61.50 with fees).
The general public will have access to tickets beginning this Friday, June 26 at 10am EDT. A six-ticket limit exists per customer at checkout.

Prior to its October show in Manhattan, Tame Impala will play this year’s Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago in August. The Perth natives will also headline both weekends of this year’s Austin City Limits Festival in Texas in between its stop in New York in early-October.

Tame Impala Tickets For Spring Tour Average $77 On Secondary Market
(UPDATE 5/6/15) While hitting a number of historic venues on their Spring 2015 trek, psychedelic rockers Tame Impala have created a healthy secondary market demand.
With 11 performances having over 100 tickets available, the average asking price for Tame Impala tickets is $77.07, the cheapest coming May 16th at the Lifestyles Communities Pavilion in Columbus with an average asking price of $52.50 and get-in cost of $32.
On the other end of the scale, three northern mid-west dates prove to be the most in demand. Minnesota's First Avenue carries an average asking price of $145 while Toronto's Massey Hall goes for $118 and Chicago's Riviera Theatre at $117.
Tame Impala Release New Song, Announce North American and European Tour Dates
(3/12/15) Tame Impala will be back on the road this spring and summer. Fresh off the release of its new song “Let It Happen”, the band has also announced a subsequent tour through the U.S. and Canada that kicks off next month.
The tour begins at the Fox Theatre in Pomona, California on April 8 and runs across the continent through June 7, wrapping at the Governors Ball in New York City. From there, the band will take some time off before heading to Portugal for a show at Paredes de Coura on August 20. A string of dates in England, Ireland, Scotland and Germany will be played in early-September. It officially wraps at Lollapalooza in Germany on September 13.
“Let It Happen” is the first song to be released off of Tame Impala’s forthcoming album, but it won’t be its first single. No name or release date has been given to the band’s third album, but details will be announced as the band inches closer to its tour.
