American Idol Live 2015 Summer Tour Begins Next Week

(UPDATE 6/30/15) It will be a summer jam-packed with singing talent as American Idol Live kicks off its national tour next week. Based upon the popular television show, the tour will officially begin on July 7 at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida and run over 37 dates through the end of August. A considerable demand for tickets exists on the secondary market, too, as the average secondary price for American Idol Live tickets over the summer affair is $132.08.

Different for this year’s tour is the use of a live backing band, something that didn’t occur during its 2014 run. The tour will also feature the television show’s Top 5 artists as opposed to its usual 10. Nick Fradiani, Clark Beckham, Jax, Rayvon Owen and Tyanna Jones will round out the bill this summer.

The tour’s top-priced show comes on August 2 at Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, New Jersey. That show currently owns a secondary ticket average of $212.32 and the get-in price, or cheapest available ticket, is $72. One other show will average above $200 over the summer run – August 7 at MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit, where tickets average at $208.50 and get-in price starts at $58.

Murat Theatre in Indianapolis will be the hosting site of the cheapest tour stop on August 9. Tickets for the Indy show own a median price of $78.59 and get-in price is $37. Other least expensive shows include July 29 at Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom ($80.43/avg.), July 19 at Durham Performing Arts Center ($89.76/avg.) and July 15 at Florida Theatre Jacksonville ($89.93/avg.).
