Deep Purple Continues U.S. Summer Tour through Mid-August, Tickets Averaging $125 on Resale Market

(UPDATE 7/22/15) Known for its driving power chords and distinct classic rock sound, Deep Purple continues to pack venues across North America nearly 50 years after forming. The England-based quintet is currently on the road in the U.S. for a string of summer shows through the middle of August. 16 more dates remain, and the band is garnering a healthy demand for tickets on the secondary market.
According to TicketIQ, the average secondary price for Deep Purple tickets is $125.36. The most expensive show comes on August 14 at Edgewater Casino in Laughlin, Nevada, where tickets average $232.70 and the get-in price is $144. It will be the only show that averages above $200 on the resale market – the band’s second top-priced gig will be at Count Basie Theatre on July 29 and tickets average $199.36. Get-in price for that show starts at $133.
Conversely, Deep Purple’s cheapest show will be held on August 5 at Celeste Center in Columbus, Ohio. That show owns a secondary ticket average of $78.02 and the cheapest available ticket is $52.12. One other show averages below $100. That will be on July 24 at Lynn Memorial Auditorium, where tickets average $93.52 and get-in price is $51.

Deep Purple Announce North American Summer Tour
Deep Purple will be Highway Stars this summer. The iconic hard rock band has announced initial dates for a summer tour, which will run across North America in July and August.
The tour is set to begin at the Art Park Amphitheatre in Lewiston, New Jersey on July 14. 12 dates are currently scheduled and the band is expected to announce additional dates soon. As of now, the tour will wrap at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California on August 15.
Deep Purple is slated to hit Europe this fall, with dates scheduled between October and December. In August, the band will make appearances at the Summer Days Festival in Switzerland and Summer Nights Festival in Germany.
The band’s latest incarnation includes Steve Morse, Ian Paice, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover and Don Airey.
