RUN DMC Tickets Averaging $79 on Resale Market for Detroit Show this Sunday

July 16, 2015

(UPDATE 7/16/15) Iconic hip-hop group RUN DMC will be showing why King of Rock title is still theirs at Detroit’s DTE Energy Music Theatre on Sundaynight. Joined by other hip-hop heavyweights Naughty by Nature and Sugar Hill Gang, RUN DMC is finding considerable ticket demand for the one-off show on the secondary market.

According to TicketIQ, the average secondary price for Run DMC Detroit tickets is $78.71. The cheapest available ticket is listed for $24. Among other performers set to hit the stage in the Motor City this weekend include DJ Jazzy Jeff, Whodini and Grandmaster’s Furious 5.

No other shows are scheduled this summer for Run DMC, which has performed as the duo of Rev Run and DMC since Jam Master Jay’s untimely passing in 200. The group has performed sporadically over the years and is avid on one-off ordeals. 2001’s Crown Royal was the last studio release under the Run DMC moniker.

Run-D.M.C. & LL Cool J To Headline Christmas In Brooklyn

Fans with Christmas in Brooklyn tickets for next month’s festive celebrations can look forward to appearances from two bona fide hip-hop legends after organisers confirmed Run-D.M.C. and LL Cool J as headliners.

Sponsored by radio stations WBLS and Hot 97, the one-off seasonal event will take place at the Barclays Center on Friday December 19 – tickets for which are available on TicketIQ at a get-in price of $50.

The show will see Run-D.M.C. take to the stage in their hometown for only the second time since reuniting in 2012, a decade after the death of their founding member Jam Master Jay, for the Made In America and Fun Fun Fun festivals.

The duo’s fellow New Yorker LL Cool J, who is currently putting the finishing touches to the sequel to 2000’s G.O.A.T., will also be heading home for the holidays alongside his long-term collaborator DJ Z-Trip, having last performed there on Belmont Stakes Day back in June.

Those lucky enough to get their hands on Christmas in Brooklyn tickets will also be treated to sets from R&B vocalist Keyshia Cole, who last month scored her sixth consecutive US Top 10 entry with Point Of No Return, and Christian rapper Lecrae, who reached number one on the Billboard 200 in September with seventh LP, Anomaly.

The latter is currently coming to the end of his solo US tour, and Lecrae tickets are still on offer on TicketIQ for his five remaining shows, with the Nov 14 date at Miami Beach’s The Fillmore with the lowest get-in price at $33 and the Nov 15 gig at Orlando’s House of Blues the highest at $60.

More artists are expected to be confirmed within the next few weeks, so be sure to keep checking back on TicketIQ for the latest information on Christmas in Brooklyn tickets.
