It took just over three months for Floyd Mayweather, Jr. to scratch his boxing itch. The 38-year-old cruised to a relatively easy victory over Manny Pacquiao in the proclaimed "Fight of the Century" back in May and on Tuesday announced that he will return to the ring to face Andre Berto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on September 12 for Mayweather vs. Berto..

Though tickets have yet to be given an on sale, brokers are already preparing to cash out for the Mayweather vs. Berto next month. According to TicketIQ the average price for Mayweather vs Berto tickets is currently $1,719.09 on the secondary market. The cheapest available ticket for the fight is listed for $372.
Mayweather, Jr. will be competing for the 49th victory of his flawless career, which would match late heavyweight Rocky Marciano's 49-0 career record. Berto will be formidable competition, however, and owns a 30-3 record with 23 KOs.
The fight will be Mayweather, Jr.'s final contractual fight with Showtime. He has expressed his desire to retire following the landmark fight but the creation of Sin City's new multi-event arena may sway him to return for a 50th fight sometime next year.
In addition to Mayweather vs Berto, the card will also feature a super-middleweight title bout between defending champion Badou Jack and George Groves and a super-featherweight rematch between Roman Martinez and Orlando Salido.
