Joint Sting And Peter Gabriel Tour To Take Arenas In Summer 2016
January 20, 2016
During the summer, two rock icons from two of the biggest bands will be going on tour together. Sting and Peter Gabriel announced a joint tour that will span 19 dates from June 21 to July 24. While there will be some amphitheatres and outdoor venues on the calendar, most shows will come in arenas, such as Nationwide Arena for the tour's opening night and a June 27 stop at Madison Square Garden.
Throughout the Rock Paper Scissors Tour, the two former frontmen will play both separately and together with songs ranging from Genesis, The Police and both artists' solo careers. In a video released by Live Nation to promote the tour, Sting says the show will likely start with the two playing together before one takes the stage for a 15-20 minute solo set before another joint set and the show will follow that pattern.
The two previously toured together for Amnesty International's Human Rights Now! back in 1988. Tickets for the tour will go on sale January 25 for most dates and February 1 for others.
