Timbaland to Launch Tour in Support of 'King Stays King' Mixtape; Tickets On Sale

It’s been a while since fans have gotten the chance to see rapper/producer Timbaland on the road, and this February the draught will come to an end. Timbaland announced he’ll be embarking on a 21-date winter tour in support of his King Stays King mixtape, which he dropped for free this past Christmas. The mixtape features numerous collaborations, including a previously unreleased Aaliyah song, “Shakin.”
The tour, which will hit mostly nightclubs as opposed to venues, launches at Bliss in Washington, D.C. tongiht and will close out at LIV in Miami on February 28. So far, tickets to see Timbaland are only available for two dates, and the rest will follow as the dates draw closer. An official press release states that the rapper will be playing many of his "infamous" hits as well as new songs on his new mixtape.

One of the more recent Timbaland shows was this past fall when the 43-year-old rapper made a stop at Highline Ballroom in New York City on November 15. Tickets on the secondary market for his performance averaged $114, with the cheapest ticket available for $61, and given the limited venue space for his upcoming run, fans can expect to see pricey numbers once tickets to upcoming shows hit the resale market.
Timbaland has been churning out No. 1 hits since the mid-1990s. He produced tracks for a number of artists including Jodeci, Aaliyah, Ginuwine, Missy Elliott, Destiny’s Child, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, and countless others.
