2016 Houston Rodeo Tickets Cheapest Since At Least 2012

(UPDATE 3/1/16) Polish your boots and get in the saddle, the 2016 Houston Livestock and Rodeo Houston officially opens at NRG Stadium today. Known as one of the largest annual rodeo events in the world, RodeoHouston will again host a slew of big-name pop and country artists over the next 20 days. The exhaustive list of stars at this year's rodeo include The Band Perry, Jason Aldean, Jason Derulo, Shawn Mendes, Miranda Lambert, Pitbull, Luke Bryan and Kid Rock.

And while A-list artists flood the scene in the Lone Star State, fans hoping to attend an upcoming day at NRG Stadium can hang their cowboy and cowgirl hats on the fact that this year's rodeo is the cheapest since at least 2012 on the secondary market.

According to TicketIQ the average resale price for 2016 HoustonRodeo tickets is currently just $79.19 over the 20-day event. That is down 5.6% from last year's average of $84.04. Prior to this year the cheapest RodeoHouston came in 2012, when tickets averaged $81.92. Conversely, 2013 served as the most expensive with a $90.72 average.

Brad Paisley will serve as the top-priced artists at the 2016 Rodeo Houston when he performs on March 19. Tickets to that day now average $108.37 and the cheapest ticket is listed for $18. Conversely, Brett Eldredge's performance on March 9 is the cheapest single-day ticket with an average price of $32 and a $3 get-in price.


2016 Rodeo Houston Will Feature Star-Studded Lineup Of Pop And Country's Best

(ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED 1/12/16) NRG Stadium will be alive and well with livestock - and some of music's biggest acts - during the 2016 Rodeo Houston, which takes up shop between March 1 and 20. 21 artists will grace the stage during the three-week rodeo, including Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Pitbull, Luke Bryan, Braid Paisley and Keith Urban.

2016 Rodeo Houston tickets go on sale to the general public this Saturday, January 16 at 10 a.m. via the rodeo's official website. An online waiting room will open beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Individual concert tickets range from $10-$86, plus applicable fees.


Over the 20 scheduled shows, the average price for 2016 Rodeo Houston tickets is currently $98.78 on the secondary market. Luke Bryan's performance on March 10 is generating the highest ticket demand, with tickets averaging $155.52 and the get-in price starting from $62. Other top-priced shows include Brad Paisley on March 19 ($121.03 avg./$35 get-in) and Keith Urban on March 20 ($118.20 avg./$33 get-in).
