The 2017 Southeastern Conference Tournament will be held from March 8-12 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The Kentucky Wildcats enter the Southeastern Conference Tournament as not only the top overall seed, but as the two-time defending tournament champions.
Last season, Kentucky defeated Texas A&M, 82-77 in overtime to win the tournament. Current Phoenix Suns’ guard, Tyler Ulis was named MVP after scoring 30 points in the championship game. Entering the 2017 tournament, Kentucky’s top foes will be either Florida or Arkansas. Kentucky and Florida split their regular season meetings while the Wildcats beat Arkansas by 26 at Rupp Arena. Year-in, year-out Kentucky is a young team that tends to go through lapses, but this team is peaking at the right time. Expect a big effort from this team in the SEC Tournament.
