Foo Fighters Announce 2017 North American Tour Supporting "Concrete and Gold"

June 28, 2017

Rock Gods the Foo Fighters released a double shot of good news for fans this week with a release date for their 9th studio effort Concrete and Gold on September 15th, as well as an accompanying Foo Fighters North American tour set to begin October 14th.

It’s a bit of a new direction for Foo, working with Pop producer Greg Kurstin (Sia, Pink, Adele, The Bird and The Bee) in an effort to challenge their sound. The conjoining trek includes 23 dates and is the band’s first dedicated North American tour since 2015’s Sonic Highways Tour.

Pre-sale begins Monday June 26th with proper on-sale on Thursday June 29th. Despite this, there’s already over 4,000 tickets available on the secondary market.

Cincinnati's US Bank Arena on October 20th currently has the largest market with over 300 tickets already available on the secondary market. The Casper Events Center on December 10th is currently the highest average asking price with tickets averaging above $375. Conversely, Fresno’s Save Mart Center on December 1st is the cheapest average ticket price at $175.

Other highlights of the tour include hometown shows at Washington DC’s The Anthem on October 12th and October 14th at the Richmond Coliseum, as well as Bridgestone Arena on October 23rd and the Spokane Arena on December 3rd. Generally, the cheapest available resale ticket for each city is around $100.

In addition to the tour, the band will be among the headliners of the Voodoo Festival in New Orleans this Halloween and Cal Jam 17 alongside Queens Of The Stoneage, The Kills, Cage The Elephant, Liam Gallagher and more.

Interestingly enough, the North East is entirely missing from the Tour Docket, so a second leg including stops like New York, Philadelphia, Boston, and Toronto is expected to released in the coming months. One thing’s for sure, the critically acclaimed band always put on a great show.
