2021 Colorado Rapids Attendance Policy

The Colorado Rapids opened the 2021 season hosting  7,897 fans (44% of capacity) at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, and have now announced that they will increase that to near full capacity starting with their July 4th match against the Seattle Sounders. Fans will also not be required to wear face masks.

Digital Ticketing

  • All tickets will be digital and paperless to allow touchless scanning from mobile devices at entry points. Guest will manage and scan their touchless tickets through the Ticketmaster mobile app.
  • Please make sure your event tickets are displayed on your phone prior to entering the security line.
  • Each ticket can be displayed on an individual phone or all tickets in your group may be presented on one mobile phone.

Specific Gate Entrance – Guests will be given a specific colored gate to enter, which corresponds to the section in the stadium where their tickets are located.

Cashless 

  • DSGP is now a cash free facility. Cash will no longer be accepted as a form of payment anywhere inside DSGP.  
  • Acceptable forms of payment include: Debit cards, credit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay

Physical Distance

  • We ask that guests remain physically distanced from others outside of their ticketed group whenever possible.   
  • Seating will be comprised of “seating pods” to allow for social distancing between groups.  
  • Capacity restrictions are in place throughout the venue (in team stores, concourse, suites, etc.) to help promote a physically distant environment.  
  • When exiting your seats for concessions, restrooms or following the game, please wait for aisles to clear to avoid congestion.  
  • Stadium staff will be on hand to remind guests of these guidelines, answer questions and assist those who need it, and enforce the requirements.

Food & Beverage

  • Food & beverage operations will maintain the highest standards of compliance with current health and safety regulations. Distancing guidelines will be displayed to allow for proper line queuing. 
  • Guests are only permitted to consume food and beverage within their designated ticketed seat or suite. At this time, guests are prohibited from actively eating or drinking on concourses, in Eighteen76, or anywhere outside of their assigned ticketed location.  
  • Guests may temporarily remove their mask when actively eating or drinking in their ticketed seats. This is the only time guests are permitted to remove their masks while on DSGP property. 
  • No food or drink may be consumed on the concourse, or anywhere else outside of the guests assigned and ticketed seat.  
  • Staff are required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and, where appropriate, will be separated from guests by plexiglass dividers.  
  • DSGP Concessions, Suites, and Premium locations are cashless. Guests may pay with debit, credit, GooglePay, Samsung Pay or ApplePay for their convenience. Cash will NOT be accepted at DSGP to purchase food and beverage.  
  • All food and beverage items will be individually packaged – including condiments, utensils, straws, and napkins 
  • Additional condiments and utensils will be provided in individual packets upon request.  
  • No refills will be allowed on drinks or other items.

Health & Safety Signage

  • To promote the venue’s new health and safety protocols, new venue signage featuring the most updated health & safety protocols (local, and State guidelines) will be communicated throughout the venue in all Parking Lots, Gate Entrance locations, common concourse areas, and high-traffic areas.
  • Communication methods will include new static stadium signage, use of stadium video boards, and use of stadium PA announcements. Such signage will cover topics including, but not limited to face masks, physical distancing, hand hygiene, and discouraging hand shaking and other forms of physical contact.

Updated Colorado Rapids 2020 Schedule

Major League Soccer has revealed their schedule for the first phase of the return to play for the 2020 regular season.  The continuation of the season will have three phases and see each team will play an additional 18 regular-season games, with the first phase having most teams play six matches against regional opponents. This phase will run through September 14th.  The only exception to this is FC Dallas and Nashville SC who will play an additional three games to make up for those missed having to withdraw from the MLS is Back Tournament.

The regular season is set to run through November 8th. The playoffs, which will be expanded to 18 teams are scheduled to start on November 20th and run through December 12th. 10 teams in the East and 8 teams in the West will qualify due to the conferences currently being unbalanced with Nashville’s temporary placement in the Eastern Conference.

Phase 1 Schedule:

  • Wednesday, August 26th: Away at FC Dallas; 6:30 p.m. MT
  • Saturday, August 29th: Home vs. Sporting Kansas City; 7 p.m. MT
  • Saturday, September 5th: Away at San Jose Earthquakes; 8:30 p.m. MT
  • Wednesday, September 9th: Home vs. Houston Dynamo; 7 p.m. MT
  • Saturday, September 12th: Away at Real Salt Lake; 7:30 p.m. MT

Phase 2 Schedule:

  • Saturday, Sept. 19 — at LA Galaxy; 8:30 p.m. MT
  • Wednesday, Sept. 23— San Jose Earthquakes; 7 p.m. MT
  • Sunday, Sept. 27 — Sporting Kansas City; 7 p.m. MT

The rest of the schedule will be released at a later date.

How Much Are Colorado Rapids Tickets

On the primary market, fans can get into the season opener on March 7 against Orlando City FC, for $29 in the 100 Sections on the corners and behind the net. The priciest seats – and the seats closest to the action – still remaining are $125 in Fieldside Sections 108 and 109. Among other games, the May 6 match against the L.A. Galaxy  features two MLS founding members and prices start at $26 in the 100 Sections behind the net and on the corners. Field Section seats for this game are $100. Fieldside seats are located on the East sideline, and ticket holders get access to the Fieldside Pitch Pub, cushioned seats and one premium meal and beverage.

On the secondary market, seats to the Galaxy game start at $36 in the 100 Sections behind the net and on the corners and go up to $204 for Fieldside tickets in Section 108.

The average asking price on the secondary market for a Colorado Rapids ticket is $53, up 10% over last season. That price is the third highest since 2011, when TicketIQ began tracking data, behind $61 in 2016 and $58 in 2017. A Rapids ticket is tied for the 11th priciest in the league. The highest is $111 for LAFC.
