How To Find The Cheapest Pearl Jam Tickets For 2020 North American Tour

After weeks of rumors, the first leg of Pearl Jam's 2020 North American tour has been announced. Kicking off on March 18th in Toronto, the band will make 16 stops, concluding on April 19th in Oakland.

Along with the tour dates, the name and release date of their new album was announced. It will be their first since 2013’s Lightning Bolt. The album, titled Gigaton, will be released on March 27th.

Where To Buy Pearl Jam Tickets

Primary market tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, January 24th via Ticketmaster.

For the the 16-date tour, which kicks-off on March 18, every ticket costs $100, whether it’s next to the stage or in the last row. Like every other Pearl Jam show, the best tickets will be allocated to their longest tenured Ten Club members.  After that, the tour will leverage Ticketmaster’s verified fan to rate and score prospective buyers based on their likelihood to actually attend the event.   Pearl Jam has also chosen to use Ticketmaster’s Safetix system to limit transferability of tickets, which means that you have to physically show up with the person that purchased the ticket.  If you can’t attend and need to resell your tickets, the only place you’ll be permitted to do so is on the Ticketmaster-powered fan-to-fan exchange.

On the secondary market, TicketIQ has low price guarantees on all sold-out Pearl Jam tickets only for the shows in New York and Colorado, as resale for the other shows will be limited to the Ticketmaster face value exchange. That means that if you find the same ticket on the secondary market site like Stubhub or Vivid Seats for the New York or Colorado shows, we'll give you 200% of the difference in ticket credit. TicketIQ customers save an average of 5%-20% on Music, Sports and Theater events.

Pearl Jam Announces A Return To Seattle & Additional 2018 US Tour Dates

Pearl Jam will play baseball stadiums from coast to coast this summer, as the band has announced a month of “special performances” in the U.S. following a bigger tour that winds through South America, Europe and the U.K. later this year.

The U.S. portion of the tour, called “The Home Shows” will be seven shows beginning at Seattle’s Safeco Field on Aug. 8. The band will perform twice in Seattle and once at Grizzly Stadium in Montana before hitting the only two pre-1920s baseball fields left in the U.S. – Chicago’s Wrigley Field (Aug. 18 and 20) and Boston’s Fenway Park (Sept. 2 and 4).

The bigger tour, which begins in Santiago, Chile on March 16 and winds up in Lisbon on July 14, marks the first time the band has been on the road since the 2016 North American Tour.

According to data from TicketIQ.com, prices for Pearl Jam tickets have been rising in recent years. The difference in the average price per ticket on the secondary market between the 2013-14 “Lightning Bolt Tour” and the “North American Tour” was nearly $50. The “Lightning Bolt Tour” cost fans an average of $188.55 while the “2016 North American Tour” checked in at $237.89.

The band, which was founded in Seattle, hasn’t played in that city in five years. According to Consequence of Sound, Pearl Jam expects 100,000 fans for the Seattle concerts, which would make them the biggest headlining shows since 1981 when the Rolling Stones were in town. The band plans to donate $1 million from ticket sales to support Seattle’s homeless population.

Pearl Jam, which traces its roots to the 1990s, has sold 60 million albums worldwide and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017
