Death From Above 1979 Announces String Of 2014 Tour Dates

July 11, 2014

Death From Above 1979 reunited a couple years ago after a 5 year hiatus. Now the band has announced their second full-length record The Physical World, to be released on September 9th. This comes a full ten years after their first record and audience hit You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine. To celebrate the new album Death From Above 1979 is embarking on a very extensive tour throughout Europe and North America.

The band starts their tour on September 6th in their hometown of Toronto, Ontario. The Toronto natives will play Riot Fest and will share the stage with the likes of The Flaming Lips, Rise Against, and The Cure. Death from Above will then head to Europe for two months before hitting the U.S. on November 1st for a show at the Voodoo Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Canadian punk duo will also play the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas on November 17th. Death From Above will play the Observatory in Santa Ana, California on November 13th. Without a Los Angeles show listed on the tour that stop will be the best chance for fans in the LA area to catch the band. Death From Above will play in New York City on November 28th at Terminal 5. This show has an average ticket price of $84, a fair amount for the first time in New York in several years after the band previously cancelled a Governors Island appearance last year.
