Chicago Begins ‘Heat and Soul’ Tour Next Week, Tickets Averaging $154 on Secondary Market

(UPDATE 7/7/15) Rock and roll mainstay Chicago will kick off its North American “Heart and Soul” Tour with Earth, Wind & Fire next week. Slated to make 31 stops across the U.S. and Canada through the beginning of October, the joint is showcasing a considerable demand for tickets on the secondary market. According to TicketIQ, the average secondary price for Chicago tickets over the band’s three-month road stint is $153.85.

If planning on catching Chicago live at the Borgata Events Center in Atlantic City on September 6, don’t expect to be a Happy Man about ticket prices. The show currently serves as the most expensive of the tour, with Chicago Atlantic City tickets averaging at $445.64 and the cheapest available ticket listed for $225. One other show will own an average ticket price above $300 on the secondary market – July 18 at The Forum in Los Angeles ($350.74).

Other top-priced shows along the way include August 21 at Starlight Theatre ($283.92 avg./$88 get-in), August 28 at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre ($211.59 avg./$28 get-in) and August 18 at PNC Bank Arts Center ($201.67 avg./$32 get-in).

Interestingly enough, Chicago’s cheapest show comes on August 23 at Ravinia Pavilion in Highland Park, Illinois. That show currently owns a secondary ticket average of $63.96 and the get-in price is $40. One day prior, the band plays its second cheapest show at Ravinia Pavilion, where tickets currently average at $70.13 and get-in price starts at $54.

The “Heart and Soul” Tour continues in the U.S. and Canada through October 3, when it wraps at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, California.

Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire Announce Joint Summer Tour

Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire are hitting the road together this summer.  The joint tour will run across the U.S. and Canada from July to September, making 25 stops along the way.

The Concord Pavilion in California will play host to the tour’s first show on July 15. Other notable venues that the tour will hit include the Ak-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix, Jones Beach Theatre in New York, DTE Energy Music Center in Michigan and Xfinity Center in Massachusetts. It’ll wrap at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City on September 6.

Both bands boast extensive resumes that include innumerable hits. Chicago has sold more than 100 million records since forming in 1967 while Earth, Wind & Fire has won six Grammy Awards over its 44-year history.

Tickets to the majority of shows go on sale to the general public Friday, March 13. Shows in Concord, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Camden, Toronto, Mansfield and Bethel will go on sale the following day, March 14.
