Playoff talks are heating up around the NHL, and the New York Rangers find themselves right in the mix of the Metropolitan division. The Blueshirts bring a 33-18-1 record into Tuesday's contest with the Ducks, but it will be their weekend showdown with the Avalanche that serves as the priciest game in the league this week. The Maple Leafs, Capitals and Wild also host top-priced games through Sunday.

Take a look at this week's five most expensive NHL games below, according to data provided by TicketIQ:

2/11/17 Colorado Avalanche @ New York Rangers  |  Average Resale Price: $261.60  |  Get-in Price: $77

The Avalanche may be the lowliest team in the NHL this season, but their trip to Midtown Manhattan on Saturday is pulling in big ticket demand on the resale market. Rangers tickets at Madison Square Garden currently own a $262 average for Saturday's game while the cheapest tickets are listed from $77 each. The Avs have skated to a league-worst 14-33-2 record, a substantial difference to the Rangers' fourth-place showing in the Metro.

2/9/17 St. Louis Blues @ Toronto Maple Leafs  |  Average Resale Price: $206.06  |  Get-in Price: $72

The playoffs may be on the horizon for the Maple Leafs, who currently sit in third place in the Atlantic and just two points behind the Senators. They'll welcome the injury-ridden Blues to Air Canada Centre on Thursday in the second most expensive game of the week. Maple Leafs tickets against the Blues currently own a $206 average and $72 get-in price. The Blues were dealt a big blow with the loss of Robby Fabbri on Saturday, as the 21-year-old forward suffered a season-ending knee injury in a 4-1 loss to the Penguins.

2/9/17 Nashville Predators @ New York Rangers  |  Average Resale Price: $186.27  |  Get-in Price: $49

Prior to their home game against the Avalanche the Rangers will take on the Predators on Thursday. There is some considerable distance between teams in the Central division, with the Wild and Blackhawks up 15 and 11 points over the Predators, respectively. They'll look to make up ground in Manhattan where tickets average $186 and the get-in price is $49.

2/11/17 Anaheim Ducks @ Washington Capitals  |  Average Resale Price: $165.22  |  Get-in Price: $46

The Capitals are the clear pride of the Eastern Conference, owning a 10-point lead over the Canadiens and a first-place bid for the Presidents' Trophy. They'll play a fourth consecutive home game on Saturday night when they host the Ducks. Capitals tickets at Verizon Center now own a $165 average and $46 get-in price.

2/10/17 Tampa Bay Lightning @ Minnesota Wild  |  Average Resale Price: $146.26  |  Get-in Price: $59

The red-hot Wild will be home on Friday night to host the Lightning. The team has gone 7-3-0 over their last 10 games and have stretched their first-place lead in the Central to four points over the Blackhawks. They'll hope to keep the momentum going on Friday night, where Wild tickets against the Lightning own a $146 average and $59 get-in price.
