Michigan Tops List Of Most Expensive Maryland Basketball Tickets In 2015

Maryland is off to a great start under head coach Mark Turgeon. As of the last week of January, they're ranked in the top 16 in both polls with an 18-3 record. Freshman guard Melo Trimble is averaging 16.3 points, 2.9 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game while Jake Layman is averaging 14.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. The Terrapins are just half a game out of first place in the Big Ten standings.

The most expensive remaining home game on Maryland's schedule is against Michigan. The Wolverines had a disappointing non-conference season but are looking to turn it around in Big Ten play. According to TicketIQ, the average ticket price for the Michigan game on February 28 is $125.03 on the secondary market, while the get-in price is just $64.

The Wisconsin Badgers are coming off a Final Four season so it is one of the more expensive tickets remaining at home for Maryland. On the secondary ticket market, tickets are going for $118.04 on average. The get-in price for the game is $58. Wisconsin currently leads the Terrapins by half a game in the Big Ten standings. This is the only matchup between the two teams this year, so the February 24 game could end up determining the team leading the Big Ten down the stretch.

Indiana comes to town on February 11th for what should be an intense matchup. Indiana is one of two Big Ten teams to beat the Terrapins this season, winning impressively 89-70. Tickets are going for $80.83 on average on the secondary ticket market while the get-in price is just $33.
