Maroon 5 & Kelly Clarkson Team Up For Biggest Ever Honda Civic Tour
April 30, 2013
Co-headlined by two of the biggest chart acts of the last decade, Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson, there have been more Honda Civic Tour tickets released in 2013 than at any other point in its twelve-year history.
Previously a mainstay of more alt-rock bands such as Incubus and Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance and Blink 182 and Good Charlotte and New Found Glory, the annual event has gone all pop this year with The Voice contestants Rozzi Crane, Tony Lucca and PJ Morton also joining the Billboard chart-toppers over 31 dates across North America.
Kicking off on August 1 at Maryland Heights’ Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, the tour will then take in the likes of Virginia Beach’s Farm Bureau Live on September 8 ($50/$170), The Nikon theater at Jones Beach on August 11 ($130/$361) and Spring’s The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on September 19 ($56/$170) among others, before concluding at Chula Vista’s Sleep Train Amphitheatre on October 5 ($111/$254).
With an overall average price of $227, there are thousands of Honda Civic Tour tickets still available with the August 31 show at Hartford’s Comcast Theatre both the lowest get-in and average price at $47 and $79 respectively. And with both artists enjoying the most successful period of their ten-year careers, there couldn’t be a better time to catch them live.
Maroon 5 have only just completed their 68-date biggest-ever world tour following the huge success of fourth studio album, Overexposed, with their three US number ones, “Makes Me Wonder,” “One More Night” and “Moves Like Jagger” taking centre stage. But the Los Angeles funk-pop outfit also rattled through their hit-packed back catalogue with performances of “This Love,” “Misery” and “She Will Be Loved” alongside a rendition of Adam Levine’s collaboration with Gym Class Heroes, “Stereo Hearts.”
While no stranger to the concept of joint tours, having previously taken to the stage alongside The Fray, Clay Aiken and Reba McEntire, Kelly Clarkson has just picked up a third Grammy Award for her 2012 LP, Stronger. So those with Honda Civic Tour tickets should expect an equally celebratory set from the American Idol winner including her No.1 singles “My Life Would Suck Without You” and “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” and anthemic hits “Since U Been Gone,” “Miss Independent” and “Because Of You.”
