Pink Adds Second North American Leg To The Truth About Love Tour

Thirteen years after arriving on the pop scene and Pink is now arguably bigger than she ever was. Indeed, just months after scoring her first US number one album with The Truth About Love, the 33-year-old has now released Pink tickets for a second North American leg of its accompanying world tour.

The three-time Grammy winner has only just performed the last date of the first leg at Boston’s TD Garden. But following an overwhelming demand, she will return to her homeland for a further 37 shows, kicking off at Oakland’s Oracle Arena on October 10 with a get-in price of $79 and an average price of $260 (just $11 higher than the tour average).

As well as visiting several venues for a second time including Chicago’s United Centre on November 5th ($65/$240), The Palace of Auburn Hills on Nov 6 ($69/$247) and Dallas’ American Airlines Center on November 16th ($67/$253), Pink will also perform at various locations that were ignored first time round including Salt Lake City’s EnergySolutions Arena on October 17th ($77/$248), Milwaukee’s BMO Harris Bradley Center on November 3rd ($78/$214) and Newark’s Prudential Center on December 11th ($60/$229).

There are thousands of Pink tickets remaining for most shows with the date at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on December 8th currently holding the lowest get-in ($44) and average ($213) price of the whole tour.

Created in conjunction with director Baz Halpin, the first part of The Truth About Love tour received some of the most glowing reviews of Pink’s career with the Los Angeles Times describing her as ‘the most gifted and imaginative physical performer in pop right now.’

The Cirque Du Soleil-esque array of acrobatics has understandably attracted much of the attention, particularly Pink’s impressive ability to sing live while simultaneously being launched into the air. But her hit-packed set-list is arguably just as impressive.

For instance, fans who bought Pink tickets for her first series of shows not only got to hear tracks from her chart-topping sixth studio effort and her two Billboard number ones, “So What” and “Raise Your Glass,” but also fan favourites “Family Portrait,” “Just Like A Pill” and “Who Knew,” a medley of her earlier R&B hits (“Most Girls,” “You Make Me Sick,” “There You Go”) and a cover of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game.”
