Pitbull & Kesha Team Up For Joint North American Tour
April 5, 2013
It looks as though the title of biggest party tour this summer is in the bag with the release of Pitbull and Kesha tickets for a series of joint shows across North America. Having amassed an incredible 40 US Hot 100 singles between them over the last five years, the King and Queen of hedonistic dance-pop will go on the road together for 21 dates starting at Boston’s Comcast Center on May 23th.
Pitbull and Kesha tickets for their opening show are available with a get-in price of $61 and an average price of $296, just slightly higher than the overall tour average of $253. Also accompanied by Australian hip-hop outfit Justice Crew and Chicago house DJs Jump Smokers, the hit-makers will then take in the likes of Burgettstown’s First Niagara Pavilion on June 2nd ($53/$147), Sacramento’s Sleep Train Arena on June 13th ($150/$403) and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on June 18th ($143/$342).
After concluding the tour at Tampa’s Live Nation Amphitheatre At The Florida State Fairgrounds on June 28th ($205/$205), Ke$ha will then embark on her own solo tour across Europe before returning to the US in August for Musikfest. While Pitbull will also venture out on his own for a one-off gig at Milwaukee’s Marcus Amphitheater on June 30th ($64/$294).
There are thousands of Pitbull and Kesha tickets waiting to be snapped up, with the June 19th date at Phoenix’s Desert Sky Pavilion currently the lowest get-in price at $43 (average $173) and the June 20th gig at Albuquerque’s Isleta Amphitheater the cheapest average price at $66 (get-in $47).
Now onto his seventh studio album, Global Warming, Pitbull has been around a lot longer than you’d think. But expect the majority of his set to focus on his more recent material including breakthrough hit “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho),” Billboard chart-topper “Give Me Everything” and Men In Black III theme “Back In Time.”
While last year’s 74-date Planet Pit world tour also featured a medley of his collaborations with the likes of Jennifer Lopez (“On The Floor”), Enrique Iglesias (“I Like It”) and Usher (“DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love”) alongside a plethora of eclectic cover versions, ranging from LMFAO’s “Sexy & I Know It” to Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”
Ke$ha may well join her new touring partner on stage for a few of his more female-heavy collaborations. But of course the self-proclaimed ‘dirty little sister of pop’ has quite the hit-packed discography of her own, with three US number one singles to her name (“We R Who We R,” “Tik-Tok” and Flo Rida duet “Right Round”) and five other Top 10 entries including “Your Love Is My Drug,” “Take It Off” and “Die Young,” the latter of which is taken from her current second LP, Warrior.
