Shinedown & Papa Roach Headline Fourth Annual Carnival Of Madness Tour

Fast becoming one of North America’s biggest travelling rock festivals, fans with Carnival Of Madness tickets for this year’s fourth annual event can look forward to quite the theatrical experience.

For returning headliners Shinedown, who appeared at the very first Carnival Of Madness alongside Chevelle, Puddle Of Mudd, Sevendust and 10 Years back in 2010, have recently revealed that they want to reinvent the celebration of rock music with a fully-fledged carnival and various all-star collaborations.

The Florida quartet, who scored the highest-charting album of their career in 2012 with Amaryllis, will be joined in their mission by two acts they also toured with as part of last year’s Uproar Festival, nu-metallers Papa Roach and Californian metalcore outfit In This Moment.

Widely regarded as the hardest-working band in Christian rock, Skillet, who will release the follow-up to 2009’s surprise No.2 hit, Awake, at the end of this month, are also confirmed to appear. While festivalgoers with Carnival Of Madness tickets can also see the band that their lead vocalist, John Cooper, helped to discover, Nashville rockers, We As Human.

Kicking off at Cleveland’s Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica on August 13 (get-in price $80/average price $103) and finishing up at Sacramento’s Discovery Park on September 14, the tour is currently scheduled to stop off at 17 different venues, with several further dates expected to be released over the next few weeks.

With an overall average price of $134, Carnival Of Madness tickets are currently available on TicketIQ for 11 shows including Philadelphia’s The Mann Center For The Performing Arts on August 14 ($79/$158), Bristow’s Jiffy Lube Live on August 21 ($44/$145) and Morrison’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre on September 10 ($74/$116), with the August 31 gig at Virginia Beach’s Farm Bureau Live both the cheapest get-in and average price at $31 and $88 respectively. On the other side of the spectrum is the August 17 date at the PNC Pavilion At The Riverbend Music Center with an average price of $167 and a get-in price of $92, both the highest of all upcoming shows.
