Lady Gaga To Help Close Down New York City’s Roseland Ballroom
November 26, 2013
New York City’s legendary Roseland Ballroom is set to go out in style following the sale of Lady Gaga tickets for a six-date mini residency which will help to close down the venue next spring.
The historic 3500-seat theater, which has staged everything from Hillary Clinton’s birthday party to Fiona Apple’s infamous live tantrum since it moved to its current 52nd Street location back in 1958, will first welcome the pop superstar on her 28th birthday on March 28 with Lady Gaga tickets available on TicketIQ at a get-in price of $250 and an average price of $516.
The five-time Grammy winner will then continue to showcase her second US number one album, ARTPOP, on Mar 30 ($200/$422), Mar 31 ($188/$405), April 2 ($197/$596) and the recently added shows on Apr 4 ($215/$330) and Apr 6 ($262/$520).
Gaga, who will also headline the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball at London’s O2 Arena on December 8 and perform at Los Angeles’ MusiCares Person of the Year Gala on January 24, has recently stripped naked on stage at London nightclub G-A-Y, launched her much-hyped third studio effort in the world’s first flying dress and arrived at the American Music Awards on a white puppet horse.
Those Little Monsters lucky enough to get their hands on Lady Gaga tickets for such an unusually intimate performance should therefore expect the unexpected. But alongside all the attention grabbing tactics, Gaga will no doubt treat fans to all the highlights from ARTPOP including lead single “Applause” and R. Kelly duet “Do What U Want” as well as the big pop anthems from The Fame and Born This Way.
